Sharon Walpole, CEO Walpole Media Group
Sharon is the CEO of a group of five companies that engage with young people in a variety of ways. Leading the Walpole companies, she has gained a wide knowledge of apprenticeships, post 16 career advice and types of qualifications, as well as technology for youth mental health, disabilities and learning difficulties. A regular speaker and panellist, Sharon’s passion can inform discussion and fuel debate.
Group businesses include: Walpole Publishing Ltd, which publishes the popular Moving On magazine providing independent information for young people regarding issues around employability skills, careers and qualifications; Not Going to Uni, which highlights opportunities outside the traditional university route; Vocendi, providing technology-led study support for students with disabilities; and App’adoodle, an NHS award-winning new media and app development company.

Andi Keeling, CEO at An Inspirational Journey
Andi Keeling has 30 successful years in corporate life under her belt working as Director of Women's Markets at RBS, she now has a portfolio career. This includes, running her own business ‘That’s Andi with an i’ which sees her consulting, coaching and speaking around inclusive leadership and ensuring individuals and teams are the best they can possibly be. She also sits on 2 Advisory Boards, does some Associate work with various organisations, plus works with Diversity Role Models as a volunteer. Andi says that judging the EDA’s is always a highlight of her year! |
Marta de Sousa, Property Developer & Expert
For the past 6 years Marta has run her own international property development company LUX Reality, which specialises in intelligent design, with a focus in refurbishing and redeveloping properties across London. She regularly comments on property related news for both the trade and national press including Sky News, ITV News, The Independent, The Sunday Telegraph, London Live, BBC 5 Live and BBC London Radio 94.9FM.
Marta is the founding CEO of Built by Her, a government backed campaign that aims to challenge stereotypes, changing the perception that the construction industry is solely a male world, inaccessible to women. A national advertising campaign will run alongside school talks and workshops targeting 16-18 year old young women. They will allow them to meet female industry role models and show them the opportunities available to them to build a career in construction, by helping them get on a path towards an apprenticeship.

Angela Eagle MP, Shadow Business Secretary & First Secretary of State
Angela Eagle is a Labour Party politician and has represented Wallasey as their Member of Parliament since 1992. She has previously served as Minister of State for Pensions and Ageing between June 2009 and May 2010, and was elected to the Shadow Cabinet in October 2010, before moving to the role of Shadow Leader of the House of Commons. In September 2015, she was appointed as both Shadow First Secretary of State and Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills. She is Chair of the Labour National Policy Forum and is a patron of the British Humanist Association. |
